SAVE THE DATE! CTI PFAN Asia Forum for Clean Energy Financing (AFCEF-7) Business Plan Competition

Friday, 10 February 2017 at Mandarin Orchard Hotel in Singapore

Registration has been closed. Thank you very much for your interest.

Following the success of the last six Regional Forums in Asia, AFCEF-7 will bring together leading clean energy entrepreneurs and investors, fund managers and financiers who specialize in Asia’s clean energy sector.

AFCEF-7 will showcase 12 of the most promising clean energy investment opportunities in Asia. These are specially selected clean and renewable energy projects from around Asia who will present their business plans at the Forum. They have been selected for their commercial viability, social and environmental benefits and have all received intensive coaching from CTI PFAN professional advisors.

The projects, with a total aggregate investment value worth US$145 million, seek to raise financing for deployment of a range of clean and renewable technologies including solar, biogas, bio-fuels, hydroelectric, waste to energy, energy efficiency, thermal energy and distributed & off-grid generation. The projects are from many countries including Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Nepal and Vietnam.

AFCEF-7 is primarily targeted at investors including impact investors and financiers engaged in the clean energy and energy efficiency sectors in Asia. Other select market participants and stakeholders in the sector may attend the Forum upon availability. It will be a great opportunity to directly access the Developers of select clean energy projects with high growth potential, verified environmental and development benefits, which are ready for investment. It also provides an opportunity to network with those entrepreneurs, project developers and other market participants as well as learn more about the market for clean energy investment and financing in Asia.

There is no charge for participation and we have a simple process to register.

After the Forum, an Award Ceremony and Reception will be held from 6pm at the same venue, which all participants to the Forum will be welcome to attend.

AFCEF-7 is sponsored by the Climate Technology Initiative (CTI), the CTI Private Financing Advisory Network (CTI PFAN), the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Energy for All Program of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) with support from the International Center for Environmental Technology Transfer (ICETT).  It is organized in cooperation with Dawn Consulting, CleanEnergy Solutions International (CSI), PPL International, the Sustainable Energy Association of Singapore (SEAS), Full Advantage, Impact Investment Exchange Asia (IIX) and Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Partnership (REEEP).

The Private Financing Advisory Network (CTI PFAN) is a multilateral public private partnership, initiated by the Climate Technology Initiative (CTI) and the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, which nurtures promising, innovative clean and renewable energy projects by bridging the gap between investors and clean energy entrepreneurs and project developers. By August 2016, with over US$ 1.2 billion of investment for 87 projects already raised, CTI PFAN has contributed to the establishment of over 701 MW of clean generation capacity and annual mitigation of 2.6 million tones CO2e and is now looking to target its next investment threshold of US$ 5 billion. PFAN is currently transitioning to a new organization structure and in future will be hosted by the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO) together with the Renewable Energy & Energy Efficiency Partnership (REEEP).

We look forward to welcoming you to the CTI PFAN Asia Forum for Clean Energy Financing in February 2017.
