GSR Energy Holdings at the virtual dialogue, “Advancing Policy & Mobilising Investment: The Eastern Caribbean Solar Challenge”
Sharon Hughes is the CEO of GSR Energy Holdings, which is building the first gender-equal bio-refinery in Belize with the goal to reduce annual greenhouse gas, foster economic development and reduce the country’s dependence on energy imports.
GSR received PFAN coaching and investor matchmaking support in 2019, which enabled the company to build and set up the bio-refinery and associated infrastructure and to develop a sugarcane plantation to produce low carbon products such as bio-plastics and bio-ethanol.
Join Sharon at the virtual dialogue, “Advancing Policy & Mobilising Investment: The Eastern Caribbean Solar Challenge”, where she will be participating in the session “Market Insights and Innovation in the Eastern Caribbean” on 2 September 2021 at 10:15 – 11:25 (St Lucia Time).
The event will showcase innovative decentralised renewable energy (DRE) solutions, particularly solar-based, and provide useful insights on policy and financial opportunities for DRE companies and investors to enter or scale up in the Caribbean market.
