Partnership Success Story: State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine (SAEE)

Since 2019, PFAN has been a strategic partner of the State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine (SAEE), a central executive authority governed and coordinated by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine which is responsible for the implementation of the state policy and development of energy efficiency and renewable energy sectors in Ukraine.

The partnership works to accelerate the country’s energy transition by collaborating on matchmaking climate entrepreneurs with local investors to develop bankable “green” projects, mitigate investor risks and mainstream investment in clean energy projects for sustainable development.

Furthermore, PFAN is supporting SAEE’s initiative to introduce financial mechanisms, such as green bonds, by providing municipalities with expert and advisory support, conducting training workshops and assisting in preparing the pilot “green” bankable projects for green bonds issues.

PFAN’s Partnership Manager, Marko Van Waveren Hogervorst, says, “We are very happy with the partnership with SAEE which is a great example of how the collaboration between both organisations have created mutual benefits, which is what PFAN Partnerships are all about. Congratulations to Rostyslav Maraikin and the team at SAEE for making this happen and looking forward to seeing the fruits of the continued cooperation”.
