PFAN Caribbean & Central America Climate & Clean Energy Financing Forum

Due to the global outbreak of the COVID-19 virus, the PFAN Caribbean and Central America Climate & Clean Energy Financing Forum (CCEFF), which was scheduled to be held in Mexico City on 1 April 2020 in conjunction with GreenMomentum, has been postponed.

We are optimistic that the situation will improve, and we aim to go forward with the forum in July. This will be the first CCEFF in the region since PFAN’s relaunch and co-location with REEEP and UNIDO in Vienna.

We expect representatives from our donors, DFIs, (institutional) impact investors, foundations, venture capital and private equity investors, and other stakeholders in the clean energy ecosystem to attend the Forum.

This Financing Forum will showcase seven innovative investment-ready clean energy projects from Guatemala, Honduras, Haiti, Costa Rica and Mexico which have been selected to present in a business plan competition. The projects range from a below 2MW hybrid solar-hydropower mini-grid to a 53MW PV farm serving industrial customers. A jury of eminent financing experts will be tasked to select the most promising project as the winner of the Financing Forum.

Participants in the Forum will get a better idea of the type of activities and projects supported by PFAN, see PFAN in action, and have the opportunity to meet PFAN consultants and project developers from our network in the Caribbean and Central America!

If you are interested in attending, please contact Mr. Lukas Baumhauer from the PFAN team at lukas.baumhauer@reeep.org.
