CIMB ESG-SME Pitch Challenge

CIMB Group Holdings Berhad (CIMB)—one of PFAN’s partners, hosted an ESG-SME Pitch Challenge on 22 September 2022 to support promising SMEs in advancing their business to the next level. With the theme “Financing the Transition”, the competition aimed to provide a way for SMEs to raise equity funding and offer networking opportunities with top investors, corporates, and other entrepreneurs.

Peter du Pont, PFAN Regional Coordinator for Southeast Asia, was privileged to participate in and judge the CIMB Pitch Challenge for SMEs in clean tech, clean energy, and sustainability.

PFAN helps identify SMEs that have sustainability-focused business models or operations across ASEAN to compete in the event and provides coaching and advisory services along with other CIMB partners to improve the investment pitches of SMEs.

We look forward to collaborating with CIMB on sustainability financing initiatives such as this challenge and working with some of these innovative start-ups to provide business coaching and investment facilitation support.
