1. Application

Please navigate to the Climate Invest landing page to reset or create your password.

After clicking the link under the ‘Sign in’ button, a new window will open asking for your email address. Please use the email address you are registered with in Climate Invest.

You will receive an email with a link to set a new password for your Climate Invest account. You will automatically be logged in to your account after resetting/creating your password.

Please also check your spam/junk folder for an email from Climate Invest if you do not receive it in your inbox.

Climate Invest stores information about users and their linked organisations.

To update your personal information, please navigate to PEOPLE > My Profile and click the ‘Edit’ button on the top right of the form. Please do not forget to save after updating your personal information. The newly inserted information will be automatically updated in all the draft applications, as shown in the video.

Please keep your personal data on Climate Invest up to date, as it is used for the contracting and invoicing processes!

To update your organisation’s information, please navigate to ORGANIZATIONS > My Organization and click the ‘Edit’ button on the top right of the form. Please do not forget to save after updating your personal information. The newly inserted information will be automatically updated in all the draft applications, as shown in the video.

In order to start an application, navigate to ‘PFAN Main Information’ in the INFORMATION section and click on ‘Start new application’.

The application consists on providing information about the organization and the project you want to develop. Moreover, you are asked to upload a Project Proposal and, if your project is already operational, the P&L Statement and the Balance Sheet.

In the ‘1. Organization Information’ section, when filling out the Organization name field make sure to click on the dropdown option that appears. This will allow the signatory and contact fields to be filled out automatically, and the project application will be associated with the chosen organization name from the dropdown.

You can save the information you insert by clicking on the ‘Save and Continue’ or ‘Save and Close’ buttons that you find at the bottom right of your screen. If you click on ‘Save and Close’, a draft of the application will be stored in the APPLICATION DRAFTS section.

In order to edit an application draft, navigate to ‘Drafts’ in the APPLICATION DRAFTS section, select the draft you want to edit and click on the ‘Edit’ button on the top right of your screen.

You can save the information you insert by clicking on the ‘Save and Continue’ or ‘Save and Close’ buttons that you find at the bottom right of your screen.

For your application to be considered eligible for evaluation you need to upload a Project Proposal. If your project is already operating, you also have to upload the P&L Statement and the Balance Sheet.

Documents are only uploaded to the system once the status is 100%. The document will then be listed in the ‘Application Documents’ section. Please do not cancel/stop the uploading process before the documents have been fully uploaded.

Once you have completed your application and uploaded all relevant documents, you need to submit your application. 

In order to do so please navigate to ‘Drafts’ in the APPLICATION DRAFTS section and click ‘Submit’ on the bottom right of the screen. Please do click OK in the pop-up window to complete your submission. The application can be accessed by clicking on ‘Submitted’ under the APPLICATIONS section.

Please note that it is not possible to edit an application that has been submitted.

Specific fields and documents on the application form are mandatory. If you are trying to submit your application without having filled out all mandatory fields, the system will show an error message or compliance warning on top of the form. 

In case an error message shows, please scroll through the form to find the fields missing information or the document that is missing. These fields/documents will be marked in bold and red. 

You can also click on the ‘Jump to next error’  button displayed in the error message in order to go directly to the field which is missing information or a document.

Save the newly added information or document and submit your application again. 

If your application is missing required information, the PFAN team can decide to send the application back for your review. 

Please navigate to ‘Sent Back for Revision’ in the APPLICATIONS section to access the sent back application. The ‘Edit’ button is located on the top left of the form. 

Please re-submit your application after you have addressed the open questions from the PFAN team, which are displayed on the top of the application form as well as in the email notification you received.

Due to sensitive data about yourself, your organisation and the projects you are coaching, we advise that you log out of Climate Invest when you are not actively working in the system anymore.

In order to log out, please click to the cogwheel on the bottom left of the portal page and select ‘Logout’.

2. Projects and reports

Once the coaching contract with your assigned advisor has been signed, your application will be deemed a project. To access all your active projects, please navigate to ‘Active’ in the PROJECTS section. While all projects with an active contract will be displayed under ‘Active’, projects with a completed contract will be displayed under ‘Closed’. 

If you have multiple active projects, you can select the specific project through clicking on the small overview box of the respective project. 

A specific set of deliverables has been defined in the contract with your assigned advisor. After signing the contract, the PFAN team will create reports for the specific deliverables and assign them to you. 

To find all reports that you need to work on, please navigate to ‘To Submit’ in the REPORTS section. You can choose the specific report you would like to work on through clicking on the small overview section.

The ‘Edit’ button can be found on the top right of the screen while the ‘Save and Continue’ and ‘Save and Close’ buttons are located on the bottom right of the screen. 

Please do not forget to save your report regularly – Climate Invest does not have an auto-save function.

After providing all required information and documents, please go ahead and submit your report by clicking on the ‘Submit’ button on the bottom right of your screen. 

You will receive an email notification confirming the successful submission of your report. 

If your application is missing required information, the PFAN team can decide to send the application back for your review.

Tipping Point Technical Assistance (TPTA) is a flexible form of support which is designed to overcome late-stage development obstacles and help projects achieve financial close. It is predicated on a results-based funding approach, which finances defined outputs and deliverables instrumental in helping the project reach financial close. Please find a detailed guide including all relevant information, such as eligibility criteria in the Guidelines Document.  

If your project is eligible for Tipping Point Technical Assistance, please navigate to your project card under ‘Active’ in the PROJECTS section. You will find a ‘Request Tipping Point Facility’ button on top of your project card. 

A new Tipping Point Request will open after clicking the button. You can find your Tipping Point Request under ‘New’ in the TIPPING POINT FACILITY section of the portal. The ‘Edit’ button is located on the top left of the form. 

Please do not forget to save your edits – Climate Invest does not have an auto-save function.
